Founded in 2003 by Sunshine Coast local Don Hall, H&H Metal Recycling began as a one-truck operation with a simple mission—to clean up the environment and offer honest, reliable scrap metal removal. What started as a small service for local homes and businesses quickly earned a reputation for integrity, efficiency and competitive pricing.
Thanks to Don’s hands-on approach and commitment to great customer service, the business grew steadily over the years. Today, it’s a proud family-run operation with a skilled team and a growing fleet, servicing residential, commercial and industrial clients across South East Queensland.

Sunshine Coast Scrap Metal Yard
In 2019, H&H Metal Recycling expanded its operations by opening a dedicated scrap yard in Kunda Park. This facility gave the general public a convenient, accessible way to drop off unwanted metal and get paid on the spot. From household appliances to commercial offcuts, the yard handles a wide variety of materials, all of which are responsibly recycled and repurposed for use across multiple industries.
A key figure in this expansion was Don Hall’s son, Zac, who had been involved in the business from a young age. After years of working alongside his father, Zac took on a larger role in 2019, overseeing the development and day-to-day running of the Kunda Park site. His hands-on approach and attention to detail helped shape the yard into a welcoming, efficient space for customers across the Sunshine Coast.
Zac is now the friendly face many locals recognise when visiting the yard. He personally greets customers, assists with unloading and ensures each visit is straightforward and rewarding. Known for his approachable nature and strong work ethic, Zac is committed to delivering the same quality service the business was founded on.
